Submitting a Delaware DMV change of address is one of the most important tasks to handle after you move. Getting a New Delaware Driver's License When Moving From Out of State

For those who are moving from a different state, you'll be required to visit a DMV location and get a new driver's license. The state of Delaware requires all drivers to update their license within 60 days of moving.

You'll be required to turn in your old out-of-state license or present a current copy of your driving record if you don't have one.

You'll also need to present the following documentation to submit a change of address in Delaware:

  • Proof of identity/legal presence in the US
  • Proof of Social Security number
  • Two proofs of Delaware residency

  • Visit your local post office and request a Mover's Guide packet
  • Inside the packet, you'll find PS Form 3575, which you'll want to complete
  • Hand the completed address form to a retail associate at the post office

You can also drop the form in a mail slot at the post office. The Delaware Division of Revenue, which is a part of the state's Department of Finance, is responsible for collecting income tax. Although they do not have an online process for submitting a change of address in Delaware, you can update your information by mail or over the phone.
